Bahini Scheme
"Bahini Scheme" aims at providing Free Sanitary Napkins to Girl students studying at Government Schools from Class 9 onwards.
Hon’ble Chief Minister of Sikkim Shri PS Golay proclaimed that the State Government would be launching a New Scheme which will primarily cater to young girl students and has been titled as “Bahini Scheme”.
“Bahini Scheme” aims at providing Free Sanitary Napkins to Girl students studying at Government Schools from Class 9 onwards. Sanitary Napkin vending machines will be installed at Government Schools which can be utilized by the Students.
About the Bahini Scheme:
Bahini Scheme is to reduce the dropout rate of girl students due to the lack of accessibility/availability of Sanitary Napkins & also to ensure menstrual health and hygiene. Under this scheme, over 18,000 girl students who study in class 9 and above are provided with free sanitary napkins in the state.

We consider that will of indigenous citizen including Sikkimese Bapaari shall be supreme .Sikkimese including sikkimese bepaari shall be treated equal : they shall govern and serve their mother Sikkim .our all policies and programs of action shall be based on the key principles that Sikkimese shall govern to make their state as they want to see and secure generations .The SKM party , have envisaged the many salient policies , plans and programs for making New Sikkim.
