PROJECT AAMA will provide financial assistance to unemployed Mothers from every Constituency.
h an aim to equip unemployed Mother’s (Aama) of Sikkim belonging to economically weaker sections of Society with financial assistance, the State Government under the pragmatic leadership of Hon’ble Chief Minister Shri PS Golay has announced PROJECT AAMA Scheme from April 2022.
After approval from State Legislative Assembly PROJECT AAMA will provide financial assistance of ₹ 20,000 to 500 unemployed Mothers from every Constituency. The State Government will open bank accounts for non working mothers and deposit a yearly grant of ₹ 20,000 per annum.
The PROJECT AAMA Scheme was highlighted in the SKM Party’s manifesto and originally it strived to provide ₹ 50,000 but due to several financial liabilities caused by pandemic Covid 19 it has decided to deposit ₹ 20,000 which shall be upgraded in due course of time.
About the Aama Yojna scheme
Aama Yojna scheme aims to inculcate the habit of saving among non-working mothers in the state and hence the Government will provide them Rs. 20,000 each in their bank accounts annually. The scheme covers only those whose names are enrolled in the electoral roll of the state and a sum of Rs. 100 crores have been allocated for it in the budget.

We consider that will of indigenous citizen including Sikkimese Bapaari shall be supreme .Sikkimese including sikkimese bepaari shall be treated equal : they shall govern and serve their mother Sikkim .our all policies and programs of action shall be based on the key principles that Sikkimese shall govern to make their state as they want to see and secure generations .The SKM party , have envisaged the many salient policies , plans and programs for making New Sikkim.
