Power Vision

Producing power, illuminating house

  1. Memorandum of understanding signed by the state government with the power developers shall be reviewed and revised.
  2. Sikkim state power generation policies shall be formulated.
  3. An effective and transparent mechanism shall be in placed to monitor the power trading affairs.
  4. Aggreate technical and commercial (AT and C) loss shall be reduce to as less as possible. Target of 5% AT&C loss shall be achieved to increase for the state.
  5. Periodically maintenance or replacement of higher capacity transformers shall be done to ensure 24×7 power supplies and to overcome the revenue lost.
  6. Replacement of transmission line and low voltage transmission line shall be done.
  7. Renovation of power houses, which are not functioning, shall be done for revenue generation.
  8. Small, mini and micro hydro projects shall be launched to generate more power for the state.
  9. Sufficient maintenance fund shall be provided to the divisional and sub divisional offices.
  10. Web sites for online payment of electricity bill shall be developed.
  11. Sufficient trained manpower shall be provided to all the offices.
  12. A minimum of two phase power shall be supplied to all over Sikkim.
  13. All securities shall be provided to the lineman and others field staff.
